Every person’s hair carries their story, culture, identity, and legacy. How we care for it in end-of-life, death, and grief support matters deeply not just for appearances, but for the dignity, respect, and emotional experience of families, communities and loved ones, especially in communities of color.
This interactive, conversational webinar designed for anyone who works with communities of color who are transitioning, have passed, or the loved ones and communities they leave behind. Together, we will explore how hair, cosmetics, and thoughtful presentation can support families’ grief journeys, honor cultural traditions, and preserve the identity of the person who has passed.
This is not a technical class; it’s a space to reflect, share experiences, and gain insight into culturally aware practices. It also serves as a gentle introduction to future, more hands-on hair care and restorative courses.
